Ration analysis: data quality and limits
How meaningful your ration analysis is depends on the underlying data. We distinguish three types of information:
AI-generatedLab values
Values from the lab report for your hay batch. If a value is missing from the report, it does not count as zero.
AI-generatedYour details
You enter feeds, daily quantities and the horse profile yourself. We calculate with this information but do not measure it independently.
AI-generatedEstimates
Without a lab report, we use table or regional values. Every hay value shows its origin; without a reliable basis, it cannot be evaluated.
How reliable is the result?
Nutrient requirements are calculated from body weight, workload and feed efficiency according to the requirement references listed below. The values are reference model estimates and are to be professionally validated.
We only add selenium and iodine to the custom mix when a lab value is available.
When are professionals needed?
In cases of pre-existing conditions, medication, pregnancy or lactation, young horses, or open or uncertain safety information, there is no automatic recommendation and no custom mix. In that case, agree on the feeding with your vet.
The analysis does not replace a veterinary diagnosis or individual feeding advice.

From formula to delivery
If the analysis shows that an adjustment makes sense, your individual formula is created from it.
AI-generatedApproval before production
Nothing is produced without professional approval. Every formula is checked for compliance with our safety standards and legal maximum levels before it is produced for you.
Individual production
Your individual formula is then produced specifically for your horse.
Delivery
Your mix comes to you as its own batch.

The following terms are planned. Ordering the custom mix is not yet available.
What is the minimum amount of custom mix I have to order?
The minimum quantity is 15 kg per formula. On average, this lasts your horse about 3 months.
What do an 84-day term and a supply of about 90 days mean?
The initial contract term is 84 days. The supply period, by contrast, describes how long your mix lasts at the calculated daily requirement: about 90 days, or longer depending on the formula and order quantity.
How does payment work?
The total price of your custom mix is paid in three instalments: on order confirmation and 28 and 56 days afterwards.
Where is the mix produced?
The mix is produced in Germany by a specialised feed manufacturer according to the formula calculated by Equivora.
